On March 31st Edwards Business Systems attending the 7th Annual Yeungling Beer Tasting Dinner hosted by the Avenues Foundation at the Greystone Restaurant in Pottsville, PA. Mike Keeney, our West Reading based account manager and his wife Pat attended this event along with approximately 185 other people. Each of the four courses served was paired with a different Yeungling Beer and both the Chef and Yeungling Brewmaster discussed how and why the pairings were chosen. On October 2, 2011, the Richmond branch was proud to participate in the American Cancer Society’s 10th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event by fundraising and walking. The Virginia Business Systems “Fast Forward Striders” teamed up with over 12,000 other participants and helped raise over $400,000 for breast cancer research. This was a unique opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, remember people we have lost and raise funds and awareness to help end this disease. The Richmond office was a major underwriter for the Cadillac-Kidney Foundation Golf Tournament, providing not only technical support, but also employee volunteers to man the event. Virginia Business Systems has been a sponsor for 10 years. The tournament is sponsored by The National Kidney Foundation. The foundation, a major voluntary health organization, seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

PAL is a premier organization providing opportunities through sports and education for at-risk youth. “Cops helping kids become champions in life.” Richmond - Connor’s Heroes is dedicated to conquering childhood cancer. They hope to help others be heroes in the lives of children with cancer and their families. VBS co-sponsored a Golf Tournament to benefit Connor’s Heroes on Monday, June 18, 2007 Hunting Hawk Golf Course.
