Full time Receptionist- West Reading PA









The receptionist serves as the first point of contact for EBS by professionally answering, screening and directing incoming calls.  This position welcomes and assists visitors entering the organization, as well as provides administrative and clerical support to the Sales/Billing department.


Essential Function


Responsible for answering and directing incoming calls for EBS, also provides phone coverage for VBS.  Takes and relays messages to the appropriate staff members.  Provides information to callers with inquires.  Greets, directs and announces persons entering the company, verifies security of outside clients/vendors and maintains an accurate visitor log. Distributes customer satisfaction survey to appropriate personnel. Monitors the meter email and takes action by recording meters and updating customer contact information as needed.  Assists in data processing for new Managed Print Services deals.  Creates sales and purchase orders in e-automate through the e-concierge program.  Secures travel and hotel arrangements for EBS.  Responsible for sorting and distributing mail.  Maintains and distributes EBS company telephone directory.  Serves as a backup for order verification of sales orders when necessary.

Travel:  This position does not require the need to travel remotely to other office locations, however, might potentially require travel to attend training seminars or classes.








High school diploma or GED required with previous office/receptionist experience preferred.  Must possess excellent telephone skills, with outstanding verbal communication including the ability to maintain patience and composure while dealing with difficult situations.   Must have the ability to interact with all team members in a professional manner.  Previous experience with Microsoft products with the ability to accurately and efficiently enter information into the computer using both the alpha and numeric key pad required.  Proficiency in Excel, with above average skill set preferred.       


Physical Demands


The position would require the ability to talk by expressing or exchanging information by means of the spoken word, as well as hearing by perceiving the nature of sounds by the ear. Must be able to visually sit at a computer terminal on a continuous basis for long periods of time. This position requires light or low amount of physical exertion and is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a permanent full time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.    Overtime is minimal, however, flexibility during peak times of the month might be required, depending on work flow.
